Dinner: Mom’s Visit Meal #3!
Victor’s Notes:
As some of you know, my mom and my cousin visited me last weekend, and I decided to show her some of my favorite fine dining restaurants in the city. This is stop #3 of 4: Eleven Madison Park! (Unfortunately, the second post about Jungsik isn’t really ready yet, but I think I’ll just go ahead and publish this one. We’ll have another EMP post soon enough, so this will spread it out more.)
It got dark around the time we had the seventh course (brook trout), so the pics get considerably worse from then on. I’ll have better pics in the next EMP post; Monty’s taking me there for lunch ^___^!

Victor: My mom and my cousin visited me last weekend, and I wanted to show them some of my favorite fine dining restaurants in the city! This is stop #1 of 4: Dovetail!
Food:
Amuse-bouche 1:
White truffle arancini, rosemary wheat cracker, and cornbread.
Victor: These were amazing as usual!
Monte: They seriously don’t get old. That first bite of the cornbread, when the crunchy exterior gives way to the steamy sweet corn filling…yum.
David: The arancini had a nice texture and lasting taste.
NYC: Dirt Candy (Apr. 2013)

Victor’s Notes:
We’ve wanted to try Dirt Candy for a while now; a LOT of friends have recommended it and have said that it’s a great vegetarian restaurant—and it is! Unfortunately, reservations are pretty hard to get, so I did some OpenTable stalking and managed to find a reservation a few days before! (Reservations open up every now and then—otherwise you’ll have to wait at least a month…)
Combination of bad lighting + iPhone camera = terrible pics once again. Oh well.
